Stuart Gladstone represents individuals as well companies of all sizes, in the fields of comprehensive estate planning, business succession, estate taxation, general corporate representation, and prenuptial planning. His particular blend of experience proves invaluable for business owners wrestling with the structuring of purchase and sales of companies; tax efficient transfers of company equity to family members; qualified and non-qualified retirement plans; key personnel incentive plans; deferred compensation plans and employment agreements. He also provides counsel on estate planning to minimize federal and state estate death taxes through wills, trusts, life insurance planning and sophisticated gift and/or sale strategies.

Stuart is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is also a member and the former chairman of the Essex County Bar Association. Stuart is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, Section of Taxation (former Chairman of the Committee of Business Taxation) and the Association of the Federal Bar of the State of New Jersey (former Chairman of the Committee on Business Taxation).

Stuart is a founder and chairman of the board of the Essex County Estate Planning Council. He is co-chairman of the firm’s Tax Practice Group. He is also a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Stuart has earned numerous awards over the years and is peer review rated as AV Preeminent, the highest rating for professional excellence by Martindale-Hubbell*.
